Background
Fjallheim is a proud winter monarchy nestled high among glacier-carved peaks, forever glowing with lanternlight during the Month of Long Lights. Its streets are laced with warm hearth-magic, wandering lantern spirits, and a culture that blends old Yule traditions with sharp northern etiquette. Though not hostile, Fjallheim holds itself somewhat apart from the rest of Iskralith, fiercely protective of its identity and its people.
You are invited to Fjallheim for the Festival of First Light, a cherished celebration where lantern spirits and citizens alike gather to welcome the turning of the season.
This year, however, the festival preparations have become unexpectedly chaotic as mischievous spirits, tangled emotions, and cultural tensions create problems across the city.
Adventurers are asked to assist in restoring harmony, supporting citizens, and guiding the lantern spirits back into joyful balance.
This is a roleplay-focused quest with minimal combat, centered on storytelling, social encounters, and experiencing the heart of Fjallheim.
DM Table Rules
-Describe what you want to do in RP and I can determine if it requires a check or not. Don't just ask for a check without describing what it is you're actually doing.
-Potions are BA for yourself, Action if given to someone else
-Holding a spell causes it to fizzle out when you either lose concentration (on a hit) or your next turn starts, wasting the spell slot
-When flanking a creature +2 is added to your roll to attack (not adv given)
-I will not have PvP in my quest. Do try to resolve tensions between players diplomatically, grappling is okay but no damaging spells or attacks shall be done to them. (AOE damage can be discussed OOCly and permitted if consented to)
-Please be present. During combat I will have you dodge and skip your turn if I don't see activity within 5 minutes. If this happens for 3 rounds you will be removed from the quest
-IRL happens, please communicate if you have to step away for more than 15 minutes outside combat
