Hello! I'm shadowstalkerD, or you can call me Derek. I hope the games I run are enjoyable and challenging for all involved!

I am flexible with rules and when options are available will offer the player their choice of 2014 or 2024 versions such as grappling. I haven't quite memorized everything yet though, and appreciate rules clarity for whatever effect you are doing. Please know your spells and abilities!

I will draw from a mix of books, but primarily balance around 2024 rules for combat.

I have been running TTRPGs since 2010. Besides 5th edition D&D, I have run AD&D 2e, D&D 3.5, Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, Deadlands/Savage Worlds, Vampire the Dark Ages, Hunter the Vigil, Shadow of the Demon Lord, Pathfinder 2e, and I have looked into Nobilis quite a bit though I haven't run it.

My primary inspirations are horror, dark fantasy, classical literature, and music.

Video Games: Demons' Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Diablo, Pathologic, Dead Space, Dragon Age Origins, Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind, Fear & Hunger, etc.

Music: any kind of metal, but especially Death, Folk, and Power metal.

Literature: Beowulf, The Divine Comedy, The Dark Tower, The Wheel of Time, The Lord of the Rings, Shakespeare, Berserk, and any kind of mythology I can get my hands on.

TV and Movies: Event Horizon, Hellsing (anime), Fringe, anything from Eggers.

I also have a fascination with esoterica and the occult.

If you have any issues with the games I run or any concerns, please let me know. I'll try to accomodate, but understand that I run darker games with more esoteric or archetypal motifs.
