Caelwyn was born in the region of Saarivalkea on the island of Metsäsaari to humble parents. He was taught to honor and respect nature, both the beasts of the woods and the woods themselves. He drew inspiration from the druidic circles and nature guides of the groves where he grew. As he aged he withdrew from society and began to live more harmoniously with the forests. He learned from the soil and hunted the woodland creatures to sustain himself.
Occassionaly, he would act as a guide to travelers, more so to ensure the left the lands unharmed that to keep them safe. As he grew more aware of the world around him he understood that the world he now lives in strayed from the one he knew as a child. His passion for the forests of Saarivalkea turned from a sacred reverence to a vigilant wrath - an act of sacrilege against his forests was an attack on him. Caelwyn sought adventure to learn more of his "prey" and as a means to rectify the ailments of his revered woodlands.
Caelwyn Skaldthorne is a relatively young male wood elf who has been weathered by wilderness living. He has brown hair, olive skin and eyes, is six feet tall, has a slender muscularity, and is uncomfortably soft spoken for the presence he exudes. He dresses simply, almost too rugged for civilizations of any level of prestige, and acts just the same. He carries a longbow, his favored weapon, carved by his father's hands and passed to him as a parting gift upon his death. Caelwyn is good-natured but carries an inner wrath towards malice, especially towards nature.
