Former Druid of the Raven Guard • Vampire of Bazagon
Penthara came from the ancient forests of Magneland, where she learned the old ways of the druids and spent much of her life far removed from civilization. When she eventually joined the Raven Guard, she brought with her a deep connection to nature, an inquisitive mind, and an endearing awkwardness around other people. Having spent so long apart from society, she was often overly talkative, curious about seemingly ordinary things, and blissfully unaware of certain social conventions. Though a little strange, she was warm in her own way, and her eccentricities made her memorable to those who knew her.
Her downfall began with a job in the Red Vale. When Raven Guard leadership discovered her dealings with a mysterious and powerful man, she was stripped of her position and her coin. With nowhere else to turn, she returned to the very man whose business had cost her everything, desperate for help.
She awoke the following morning a vampire.
Betrayed and transformed, Penthara fled to Bazagon, disappearing into the city's deepest and darkest corners. The once-curious, awkward druid became a quiet and mysterious figure, careful with her words and reluctant to let anyone close. Whether this change came from her trauma, her undeath, or the bitterness she carries remains difficult to say.
Penthara no longer wishes merely to survive. She seeks power and a place above those who once cast her aside. She hopes either to rise alongside her patron or to find a suitably powerful man whom she can turn into a vampire and take as her husband. Together, they would build a dominion of their own and rule through strength, cunning, and the permanence of undeath.
Once an awkward outsider who struggled to understand the world of men, Penthara now intends to rule it.
