Gunnmundr is a soldier of the Kinsvall, a united army of northerners from across the land of Nepurna and Magneland. Gunnmundr is a 28 year old Brumathane male. He is 5'11, 180lbs, dirty blonde, and blue eyed. his hair is shaved at the back and sides, while having a feathered ceasar style on top with several dangling braids. He has a short, ruddy brown beard with long the mustache and goatee grown out into 3 braids.
Gunnmundr is wearing tattered chainmail over quilted commoner clothing, and an overcoat of a long haired ox hide. He wields a standard, non-magical, but large warhammer in two hands. his shield is on his back.
While aspiring to earn the rank of Húskarl, Gunnmundr volunteered for a long and harrowing journey from Frossenfolk with a party of a dozen other soldiers.
They were hoping to [insert plot device for DM plans] with the Bjarnfell Gamlir. Shortly after they arrived, the dwarves landed on the shores. Men, women, children; the bearded monsters did not care. They were each shown the edge of a dwarven axe.
Gunnmundr saw some of his brothers fall, valiantly attempting to buy time for messengers to run or crows to be sent. Gunnmundr resolved himself to butcher and scalp every dwarf that his blade crossed. He barked out to Krov, ordering the god of war to give him a good death, that he might join his brothers.
However, Gunnmundr fell, a dwarven hammer to his head. He was enslaved by the dwarven invaders, seeing Gunnmundr's strength as a resource for their machinations. Now, Gunnmundr is marked, scarred with the Runegate branding, and sent out to clear the path deeper into the heart of his homeland.
Gunnmundr will try to thwart their advance. He knows his homeland is a terribly unforgiving environment. The ancestors of the Three Brothers have lived here longer than these dwarves know. Divine magical artifacts lie in waiting. Holy sanctified ground awaits trespassers. Weapons blessed by the Elder Gods cry out to be wielded and draw blood.
Gunnmundr pray's nightly, asking for Krov to use his hands for vengeance, offering to place the scalps and hearts of dwarves on Krov's altars. Gunnmundr prays that the Rootfather guides his feet, that he would be able to lead these invaders to be ensnared in Metsärin's woods, and that the native beasts of the land may feast on dwarven flesh.
