Majir was once a small time actor, barely making enough on shows to survive. Until one day he had hit a big break, the main male lead in a famous romantic play. This had seemed an almost impossible dream for Majir, so he practiced hard. His hard work paid off when the first night of the play had a fantastic opening.

However, later that night, he was kidnapped. His captor said that his death was ordered by a nobleman. The lover of the female lead in his play. The only reason a two bit actor like Majir received the role was because no worthwhile actor wanted to risk the wrath of the nobleman's jealousy. Majir was thought too pathetic to stoke the noble's jealousy, but his performance that night was just a bit too good. Majir was sent into a gauntlet, and was very quickly killed.

But another person in the gauntlet, Bartolomeo, took Majir's body. When he tried to turn him into a regular zombie, Majir's race instead had him return as a revenant. He now hunts the nobleman who killed him, wanting revenge for his dream ruined.
