Most of Cædmon's life was spent going through the motions. He was never an accomplished adventurer, in fact he was quite average among his clan. It is only in his last years of life has his ambition to accomplish anything eclipsed his restless inhibitions.

In his first outing, he allied with some of the most powerful adventures in a march through the Deep Ethereal. Through fortune, teamwork, and effort, Cædmon survived the encounters. In the throws of combat, he even struck an avatar of Argus the Watcher. After the group defeated the avatar, Cædmon retrieved his greataxe and armor which he uses to this day.
