Farnic was one of the few prospective students to be denied tutelage at the Port Paelios Magical University. Determined to prove his theory that the gods are not almighty, due to the ability of lesser beings to grant boons that rival devout clerics, he wants to travel Bakketra and seek anything that will support his claims, if only to secure an easy lecturing position at the university.

He raised enough gold to purchase gear by posing as a booster in some street gambling games. Slowly wearing out his welcome as people began to recognize him, he's happy to leave the port town.

Farnic is a tall, lanky high elf who carries himself with unearned pride. He has short, brown hair and a simple leather jerkin over his expedition clothes. Multiple daggers and a crossbow adorn his various belts and pouches.

At his core, Farnic's main downfall in his academic pursuits is his laziness - he's much happier enabling someone else than doing a task on his own.
