Otso aka Nalle was born around Diamond Lake. He's a man in his late twenties who knows the local nature, flora and fauna, and makes a humble living for him and his crippled mother as a minor healer in the town.

Nalle has a bit of formal training with books and knowledge, even arcane skills, from the local monastery. He learned his nature skills first from his mother, then by himself and listening to animals while roaming outdoors.

Otso lives with his mother, Marjatta, taking care of her after her unfortunate accident. He has never met his father, but his mother used to tell Nalle that his father was the King of the Forest who descended from the moon. Otso wishes to become a mighty healer who can bring his mother back to full health one day.

The only worms Nalle knows are those he uses when fishing and that make their backyard garden fertile.
