Ylvir prefers to be out in the field, on some remote archaeological digsite with nothing but the cold, biting winds and stubborn pack animals as company. Sweat on her brow and a sturdy pickaxe digging deep into the hard earth in search for artifacts of historical significance. Later on enjoying the reward of sitting in her warmed up study to catalogue her finds, waiting for the worst of the winter storms to pass so she can get out there and do it all again. But this has not been her life as of late. In fact, this part of her life is getting further and further away. Now she finds herself a court wizard to a jarl in a realm that's been ravaged by war and strife, facing an ancient enemy that is as dangerous as it is elusive, an enemy she helped create. Her desire for revenge is almost as strong as the guilt that eats at her over her friends that were murdered.
