A shadowy foreign cartel—allied with corrupt local officials—has brought a distilled, thick black form of foreign drug called Kuro-Ame ("Black Candy") into a secluded warehouse district.

Patrons who smoke the sticky black resin slip into an endless, dreamless coma while their minds are devoured, leaving behind hollow, walking husks. The party is hired by a merchant seeking his missing younger brother, leading them into a misty, sweet-smelling den where reality and nightmare bleed together.

Content Warning. This is an adventure with violence, gore, and psychological horror. Drug-use will be a central theme.

D20ctober. This is a special GM collaborative challenge featuring 31 prompts for each of the 31 days in October. D20ctober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so these participating GMs are challenging themselves with this creative tool. Today's prompt is “Smack.”
