Description of the adventure:  Åkerstad has fallen, but not everyone is dead.

Scattered throughout the burning settlement, small pockets of survivors remain hidden from the horrors prowling its streets. Thin Ones climb across rooftops and through chimneys. Beasts hunt by scent and sound. Malformed Ones wander between abandoned homes searching for anything still warm enough to bleed.

You are not heroes. You are the townsfolk they failed to find.

Food is running out. Water must be found. The wounded need tending. Every journey beyond your hiding place risks discovery, yet remaining hidden forever means starvation.

Those Who Remain is a survival-horror campaign for 1st-level characters built around stealth, exploration, resource scarcity, difficult choices, and roleplay. Combat is rarely a solution. The creatures hunting you are far stronger than you are, and being discovered almost certainly means death. Success is measured not in monsters slain, but in supplies recovered, people rescued, hiding places secured—and one more night survived.

These will give you a feel for the region and playstyle I enjoy running.

Magic users: Skalheim is a low-magic setting, and the Skalheim doc is continually updated to clarify how magic works and which spells are allowed or modified to maintain the desired feel of that setting. Please review before each session, as things may change over time.
