Seventy-one coins. Minted in seventy-one different empires across different ages of this world. A fiend's collection, forgotten. Treasure, they thought. They did not know what they were carrying out of that tomb. They could not have. But I knew the moment the chest opened. I felt it from here, through three thousand years of stone and silence that specific warmth, that specific pull, like a compass needle swinging home. One of those coins is mine. One of those coins has always been mine. And the ones carrying it are walking through a forest that remembers everything, holding objects that cannot be destroyed, wondering why their hands won't stop shaking.

A Voice From Behind the Seal:
They entered a tome that wasn't supposed to be found.
I have been watching this world through cracks in stone for three thousand years. I have seen kingdoms rise over my grave and forget my name. I have watched the serpent's children pick through what remains of everything we built, convinced it belongs to them.
And now... these ones.
They pulled something from the dark and carried it into a house of elves and did not know what they were holding. They never do.
The ward broke. Twice now. It knows they are close.
I cannot call to them. Not yet. But something is moving them forward all the same...
Let them find what is waiting. Let them hear what the sky remembers.
They are closer than anyone has been in a very long time.
Come. The Seals are fading. The containment is failing. Evil prevails again.
