This is a continuation in The Age of Worms campaign as Oswin heads towards the Split Crown Cairn as he investigates the outbreak of the Red Death plague.

Existing players....will be rewarded with 1/2 level XP for successful completion.

Outside players are welcomed to play with reward of 1,500 XP.

Built of slate that flakes like bad silver, the cairn crowns the ridge above Diamond Lake like a wound that never healed. The stones never quite sit right—no matter how often they are stacked, they shift by morning, as if something beneath resents being sealed.

Miners once said the rock here “bled rust” when struck. Others claimed their tools dulled overnight, edges turning black and soft as ash.

Kjell refuses to reuse any metal found near the site.

“It remembers the ground it came from,” he mutters. “And the ground wants it back.”

No one works the mine anymore.

Not since the first sickness.

Not since the whispers.

Now, with the Red Death creeping through Diamond Lake, the cairn stands quiet again—its mouth half-collapsed, its tunnels forgotten.

…but not empty.
