Silva was raised with a pretty average upbringing - food in his belly, roof over his head, a small village of children to call friends when not studying to make something of himself - never starving but never overly comfortable. Most of the people who made a name for themselves from his town either did so with back alley deals, knowing the right people, or enlisting. He was 16 when deciding to accept the role of a squire through a connection of family friends, hoping it would keep him away from real danger while also gaining a rising status. He was wrong.
Not more then six month later, he was called to aid in the frontlines by order of his superior. His company had put up a good fight but found themselves decimated before long into the conflict. Lying on the scarred ground, sure he was to meet his maker, Silva claimed he found his strength once more in the song of an otherworldly woman. A voice like silver bells in language so familiar yet foreign - the melody seemed to breathe life into his body again, still his racing heart, and give him the push to make it back off that battlefield.
Silva came back a changed man - a stronger, stranger man. He religiously followed the idea of this savior as his new deity, taking up the ways of a paladin and working under her name. Despite the strange rumors and questions about him and this mysterious being, they couldn't deny the boys growing strength and drive with the so called 'Love' his benefactor bestowed upon him. With this motivation, Silva has been able to climb to the rank of Knight, and his strange beliefs have earned him the playful title 'Jack of Hearts' from his associates.
