The Redmark Clans are a confederation of nomadic warrior societies inhabiting the grasslands, foothills, and lower mountain passes. They mark adulthood by painting a single red slash across the face (the Redmark) signifying the moment a person becomes responsible for the defense and honor of the clan. They have no gender distinctions of any kind. Strength, resilience, and contribution determine social roles, respect, and responsibilities.

Children are raised communally until they can walk and speak. At that age, each child is physically assessed and sorted by size, speed, and early aptitude. They are then assigned to the strongest and most capable parental units available, regardless of lineage or genetics. Family is a function of strength and stability, not blood.
A child’s eventual clan role is determined by demonstrated ability, not identity or birth.
