Those experiences made him identify with the crews of ships more than their leaders. Aegean prefers the forest to the high seas, but usually makes his living on the sea. He makes enough to stay ashore for long periods, living a modest lifestyle where boredom causes him to seek adventure.

He considers his dagger his most valuable and versatile possession as it has freed him from many binds, both figuratively and literally. He keeps an old, decorative compass he assumes was passed down to him by his parents. He considers it a family heirloom.
