Name: Emiteal, Emi, Em
Availability: I operate on Pacific time.
- Weekdays 01:30 AM to 07:00 AM and 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM
- Saturday 03:00 PM to 07:00 AM
- Sunday all day (depending on private campaigns I'm playing in)
Offering: I do Active VC and Passive PBP sessions. Avrae with Owlbear, and Roll20.
Philosophy: I am a varied DM. I like to experiment, but also run traditional stuff! I will make myself available to anyone looking to play, no matter the timezone hurdles.
- I run more traditional D&D in a setting called the Border Zones: a collaborative wilderness exploration campaign with monsters and puzzles!
- I like combats which are tough, the kind where you have to expend all your resources and just barely scrape by! (I have also been cursed by the dice gods, so sometimes my poor monsters get steamrolled because I roll horribly.)
- I am very big on logical actions and outcomes. I also take roleplayed actions into account. (Note: You cannot use RP to completely sidestep game mechanics or give your character knowledge or abilities you do not have on your sheet.)
- I reward engagement with the content. If you are engaged, roleplaying, asking questions, and interacting with the setting, you will be rewarded accordingly. If you are not engaged or are taking a passive role, rewards may be docked.
- My quests give gold when it makes sense for them to do so.
Death Penalties:
- In Luma: None. (You must still retrieve your items from the location where you expired.)
- Outside Luma: Loss of all items you brought with you except your clothes/armor/accessories. You may attempt to retrieve them.
- Possible XP penalties depending on situation.
Banned Content:
- Murder hobos and other ne'er-do-wells.
- Deus ex machina solutions and shortcuts. No, you can't ask the NPCs for easy answers. The point is to try and figure challenges out. If you're stumped and need help, I have a table mechanic to receive DM suggestions based on your PC's INT or WIS.
