Appearance: A tall dark-olive skinned woman, her eyes are a golden color with a red ring surrounding her pupils with bushy eyebrows above both. Her hair is typically kept in a long braided fashion--sometimes, when let out, it is even longer and intensely curly & thick--at the ends are gold hair cuffs w/ tassels attached. She wears what seems like military general attire; a heavy white trench coat with tarnished medals attached at the breast of the coat, with gold-colored buttons up to a little above the collarbone, and tasseled shoulderpads. Her boots share the white color and gold spokes with a 5-pointed star attached, while the leggings stand out with an onyx black and white stitching (though they aren't easily seen with the coat blocking them.
Backstory: Before finding herself in Luma, Anubi was a part of an insurrectionist military in the middle of a succession war ravaging her nation. She was born into this role, placed by fate into the hands of noble cultists--exiled from the dynasty in their far past--who praised the sun (as its 'children'), where for as long as another 'heretical' dynasty held the throne there would be no rest. She was raised with a constant paranoia, a fear of judgement being cast down upon her via a force she could not control, until eventually that fear was not enough to keep her in submission. At a point, as she became older and jaded, she simply sought control; no matter the position she held for her "loyalty" or birth ties, it needed to be real to her. The war raged on into her late 30s, just before she would turn 40, which is when she decided to take that control she desired; luring the soldiers, and previously family, under her command into a false siege on a fort abandoned by the opposing forces. Once all inside she lit a fuse, ready to let them all burn, not accounting how large the blast or how strong the flames would be. She died that day, in what was seen as a convenient accident or outrageous ritual gone wrong by many. Dying clearly wasn't enough though; she thought, when she breathed again and opened her eyes looking at the skyline of Luma. One fear runs through her head, only hoping nobody else met her same fate.
