Loryn Humblebumble comes from the hidden city of Songfarla; Once a poor street urchin who survived on entertaining the other gnomes with his whimsical inventions (that were often unstable). His genius was noticed by someone from an artificer's college, where he began to study. His teacher became a close mentor, and when other gnomes began to take interest in the artificer college as a way to create weapons and expand their very insular gnomish community, spirited loryn out of the city where he made his way to the port city of waterdeep.

He has adventures have taken him through the criminal enclaves of waterdeep and even through the seven hells themselves. Loryn found retirement at the end of his adventures, finding peace in his mobile tavern. Some experimentation (and a few misplaced kobold test subjects) later Loryn managed to alter the tavern to have the ability to traverse the multiverse itself. He spent time hopping from place to place, continuing his experimentation and helping other adventurers along the way; however his most recent traversal crash landed him on the outskirts of Lumi, leaving him stranded within the space and unable to recreate the vehicle that brought him here. It also left his skill with the weave scrambled, and weakened his body and mind. His current goal in lumi is to continue to help fledgling heroes, get back some of his strength and knowledge, and find out more about the mysteries that left him unable to return to his multiversal travels.
