Appearance

Human male wizard of average build and height. His clothes are overly theatrical, emphasizing the fact that he is a fortune teller. and seer. runic symbols and eye patterns are prominently stitched into his robes. Bearded with slight streaks of gray. His staff has an ornate carving of an eye atop it and he wears a comically large floppy wizard hat.

Backstory

Real name: Alric Varn. He is a conman turned real-deal seer. Alric grew up as a charlatan running "fortune teller scams" under the name "Fenwick the Farsighted" until he discovered that he had an actual aptitude for magic, and convinced a wizard to take him on as an apprentice. Once satisfied in his abilities, he started seeking his fortune as an adventurer... with stints of fortune telling in between when funds are tight.

Filled with good intentions, but with flawed morals.

Truth is in the eye of the beholder. If you can inspire someone to achieve great things, based on deception, the outcome is more important than the method.
