Backstory: Born as a dwarf, Kron happened to be the offspring of a very wealthy and skillful blacksmith, therefore, poverty was never really an issue which then put him immense pressure on his shoulders to be able to make something of himself beyond his father's shadow. With his mother passing away due to complications with his birth, Kron's father found himself in a work/life balance with him leaning more towards work.
Unfortunately, for Kron, life would not turn out the way he was expecting, he spent his most of his childhood and early as an apprentice under his father, however, due to the high level of intricacies and complications placed upon him, not to mention the standard of perfection his father demanded, his work, which were considered brilliant works of art to others, never lived up to the ungodly standard set by his father. From then, on now, he did whatever a dwarf should do, worked with engineering to develop machinery and tools, worked in the mines and even became a soldier, however, he was unable to succeed in anything, the prejudice of that standard set by the only man in his life still plagues his mind which causes him to not only chase and seek knowledge, but also validation and approval. Ultimately, he realize the vast extent of this existence was too large for him to continue living content in the world of dwarfs.
His father, although not approving of his desire to abandon everything which defined him as a dwarf, finally realizes that this love that he has for his only born child is worth more than this mental anguish, and understands in order to explore who he is and what is his purpose in this life he must leave the shadow which has plagued him to this meaningless existence. With a heavy heart and tears welling from his face, Kron's father gives him his blessing to venture out, reassuring him that home will always be here whenever he needs it.
