Decimus is a young man of twenty years, and also a man of privilege. Both of these facts are apparent at a glance: his face is unblemished and clean-shaven, his shoulder-length hair a striking yellow-gold that he preens daily, and his hands are soft and his nails trimmed, not a spec of dirt to be found. Confusingly, he has dressed himself in a soldier's garb: wearing armor and carrying with him a shield and sword. Pinned to his breast is the Garinor family arms: a golden stag passant on a striking red field.
Decimus is the fourth son of Sir Tiberius Garinor III, patriarch of the family. The Garinors are a relatively new noble lineage, having been granted the status only three generations ago after the valiant efforts of Decimus' great-grandfather, Sir Tiberius the Elder. Tiberius the Elder won renown for himself and his family in a battle against a treasonous baron. Since then the Garinors have grown steadily, albeit slowly, in influence, providing Decimus a cushy upbringing. However, given his position as the youngest son, he has been largely overlooked by his father, and stands to inherit very little. As a result, Decimus has taken what funds he could from the family coffers, bought up equipment, and set out to the Grand Duchy in search of wealth, fame, and fortune!
