The apothecary’s apprentice, Gilda Lowbloom, stands before the door of the humble shop with eyes rimmed in worry - and in her hand, only one ghostcap mushroom instead of the basket she promised to deliver. Her sister Gladys slipped into the twilight Ghostcap Gully the previous night to gather the pale fungi that cure fevered brows… but she never returned.

If you’ve ever leaned on a crutch, coughed through a fever, or watched a neighbour’s child burn with the spring flu, you know how precious Gladys' harvest is. Now Elmore’s folk risk illness if those ghostcaps go unfound - yet deeper in the gully, strange lights dance among the toadstools, and half-heard laughter rides the breeze.
